WDT Releases RadarScope 2.0 Featuring Advanced Precipitation Interpretation

New build lays foundation for new features & content

 

NORMAN, OK – March 11, 2013 – Weather industry leader Weather Decision Technologies®, Inc. (WDT) has released the latest version of our premium RadarScope app for iOS. Among many advanced new features, Version 2.0 introduces a proprietary algorithm that delineates rain, mixed precipitation, and snow conditions utilizing WDT in-house data.

RadarScope is one of the top grossing premium weather apps in the App Store and Google Play offering radar data retrieval and display of weather radar products at lightning fast speed. New in the latest iOS version is: – Distance Tool: Draw a circle on the map to measure distances between two points. When measuring from the radar site, displays beam height – User Locations: Search for and save/edit points of interest to be displayed on the map – Units: Choose metric or English units for velocity/distance

  • Full screen mode: Tap and hold on the map to reveal as much radar data as possible
  • One-finger zoom: Double tap and hold on the map, then drag up or down
  • Improved zoom: Zoom in/out on the location by pinching fingers
  • Inertial scrolling
  • Compass mode: Display your device’s heading on the map when Location Services are turned on
